The Cryo-Lift is an aid for laboratory staff to lift racks with samples out of nitrogen storage containers. Every operator knows how crucial it is to keep samples stable. Time and temperature are essential during the process of gaining access to the samples. The Cryo-Lift ensures a quick and safe method of moving the samples, which prevents the products extraction and exposure to the atmosphere and environment temperature.
Imagine: stretching yourself over a large container with fluid nitrogen, -196 degrees Celcius, trying to reach for and lift a rack full of fragile samples, that is 60 cm wide and weighs more than 15 kilograms. Until recently these were the working conditions in laboratories. With the Cryo-Lift you have a user-friendly device that reduces your workload and picks up the product quicker so the quality of the samples is not compromised.
The straightforward manual operator moves the racks carefully up and down. A userfriendly operating system combined with an XY-movement that the samples are lifted with the exact angle wherever necessary. The lift has a clear LED-indicator and can conduct more than 200 lifting movements every battery charge. Additionally, it has a lifting capacity of more than 25 kilograms.
The Cryo-Lift has already proven its use in several prestigious research institutions. Often diagnosed problems caused by manually handling Cryo Racks, like CANS (complaints in arms, neck and/or shoulders) were eliminated by the Cryo-Lift.
